1916 Project in Scariff

23rd October 2015
Transition year students in Scariff Community College are planting 1,916 daffodil bulbs that will be in full bloom for the countrywide celebrations of the Easter rising of 1916.
The initiative involves getting all the students in the school to plant some of the bulbs, so that every student has a role to play in this sustainable commemoration project. It is envisaged that the Transtion year studnets will study aspects of the 1916 Rising during their History studies class later in the year.
