1st Year Hurling

16th January 2015

Scariff Community College 1st year hurlers had a real battle of a match against Ennistymon CBS on Tuesday the 13th of January. The match was played in very cold and windy conditions in Lahinch.

The first half saw scariff take the lead with some well taken scores from Mark Rogers, Conor Downes and Jason Mc Carthy to leave us 2-7 to 1-2 at half time. Ennistymon pulled back the lead and nearly scnatched a draw only to be denied by some excellent defending and some great saves from our goalie. It was a real team effort from Scariff, well done to all involved. Scariff won 4-7 to 4-4 at full time.

Ennistymon were allowed to play three  2nd years for the game and these players made a big impact on the game in the second half.

Next up is Flannans and Caimins
