All Ireland Drama qualifiers

The Transition year drama 'A Mans's game'  recently qualified for the All ireland schools drama finals. Scariff are through to the last 8 schools in the competition after coming through the regioanl finals with flying colours. Over 40 schools entered the competition and we are very proud of the students now competing for a national title.

Earlier in the year the TY students presented  "A Man's Game " a one act drama written by local playwright Paul Brennan at the Mountshannon Hotel on Friday 20th , Saturday the 21st and Sunday the 22nd of November to a packed hall.. The students prepared the play as part of their drama module in TY. Fourteen students will take part in their play under the direction of Ms Sheridan. The students have been given great support from  the local  Sliabh Aughty Drama group and would especially like to acknowledge the help from Mr Noel Hogan and Mr Alan Sparling.  The students will be entering the Bord Gais Theatre Awards with this play and also the Briery Gap Transition Year Drama Competition later in the year
