Munster Victory for Scariff Community College Camogie Girls

26th January 2013

On Saturday last the school's U16 1/2 Camogie Team were crowned Munster Champions after a comprehensive victory over Scoil Mhuire agus Íde, Newcastle West on a scoreline of 2-4 to 1-1. It was only found out on Friday that we would have home venue after the Limerick pitch had been deemed unplayable. This led to the match transferring to Whitegate, conditions in Whitegate were very good and, at short notice,  alot of effort was made by the local hurling club to have the venue in top shape for the day. Luckily the rain abated for the match even though blustery conditions persisted. After the match the trophy was presented to joint  team captains Keli Nugent and Roisin Mc Namara. Congratulations to  the panel for putting the school on the map in such a positive way. Saturday's success is a fitting reward for the commitment and dedication Ms Kenneally and Ms Lynch give to camogie in our school.

Match Report to follow.
