School will be closed Monday the 1st of May
Students from Scariff Community College who participated in the Cork Schools' Orienteering Championship on Nov. 17th at the Fota Arboretum, Cork.
It was a very enjoyable and successful day all round: The 2nd/3rd yr. Boys' team came 3rd in their event, Rose Powell came 1st and Pepper Robson came 3rd in the 2nd/3rd yr. Girls' event, with the Girls' team coming 1st overall.
Sean Cooney came a very credible 7th in the 1st yr. Boys' event and the 1st yr. Boys' team came 3rd overall. Johanna Frehe and Sophie Meskell came 1st and 2nd respectively in the 1st yr. Girls' event and the 1st yr, Girls' team came 2nd overall.
They will go on to compete in a Munster Championship in the Springtime.
