Trad for Trocaire

Martin Hayes joins Scarriff Students in Trad for Trocaire. Scarriff Community College came alive to the sounds of Traditional Music on Tuesday lunchtime last when the First Trad for Trocaire Session was held in the College. Ms Glass joined by almost 50 college musicians and dancers were joined by renowned East Clare Musicians Martin Hayes, Andrew Mc Namara and Terence O Reilly. The concept, Trad for Trocaire was introduced by Trocaire some years back and involves raising vital funds for Trocaire through the hosting of a Traditional Music Session. The Transition Year Students were the chief organisers behind the event and had worked hard over the last week or two to make sure the event was a success. Students and Teachers in the college gave generously and money will now be presented to Trocaire.
