Dazzling Doro with winner for SCC
Scariff Community College 3 AET
St Michael’s, Kilmihill 2
Our Under-19 boys’ soccer team advanced to the last 16 of the John Murphy Cup after a hard-fought victory over their opponents. After a scoreless first half, Lee Harrington broke the deadlock on 60 mins, coolly finishing from 18-yards after a defence splitting pass by Ronan Keane. Scariff doubled their lead on 65 mins when Edan Buckley reacted quickest to a bouncing ball in the Kilmihill penalty area. Kilmihill then staged a spirited comeback, scoring twice in the final ten minutes to bring the game to extra time. With the game seemingly destined to go to penalties, Scariff scored the winner with two minutes remaining after an excellent solo run by Oskar Lawicki was finished by Massi Doro, sparking joyous celebrations.
