Well done First years !
First week in SCC complete – well done everyone !
We will continue to ‘hold back’ on homework for one more week. This is to allow you to get used to the longer school days. (Of course if any teacher gives you some work, you need to do it.)
Each evening please prioritise organising yourself – check your timetable, your student journal and organise your school bag with what you need for the following day.
Today you received a pack of requirements so you should now be able to get more organised. In the pack you received:
• 12 x zipped pouch folders
– use one per subject to hold copy & book. It is much easier to grab correct items from locker when just grabbing a pouch.
• A copy for each of your 10 x exam subjects as follows:
1 x project maths copy – for maths
1 x A4 science copy – for science
8 x A4 soft back copies – one for each of your other exam subjects ie English, Irish, History, Geography, French or German and your three option subjects.
• 3 x small copies – can be used for non-exam subjects eg cspe, sphe
• 3 x A4 pocket display folders – for handouts – keep at least one of these in your bag for any handouts, letters you might get.
You should also have received an A4 refill pad earlier this week. Next week we will sort 1st yrs with calculators, maths sets and log tables.
Please ensure you write your name and the subject clearly on each pouch. On each of your copies, please write your name, subject and year group.
If you already have copies, that is no problem – just keep those you got today as spares for later in year.
