SCC ASTRO FUNDRAISING EVENTS SPRING 2025
SCC is thrilled to announce that the funds raised so far have reached €400,000! As we draw closer to our target, we’re excited to share two upcoming events aimed at raising the final funds needed.
On February 1st, we will be hosting an afternoon of entertainment for ladies at the Lakeside Hotel in Killaloe, called “Nourish and Flourish.” This event promises an enjoyable afternoon of fun, fashion, and food. There will be pop-up shops, a raffle, and goodie bags for all attendees. We are delighted to have Dr. Mary Ryan as our guest speaker for the day. Tickets are priced at €75, which includes a two-course meal, a prosecco reception, wine, and a goodie bag. Tickets can be purchased in Centra or online at this link. Please note that tickets are limited, so early purchase is highly recommended.
Additionally, our Transition Year students have launched an exciting Sustainable Fashion initiative. Their project, titled “Reloved and Preloved,” will culminate in a pop-up shop offering ladies’ fashion and girls’ communion wear in mid-February. This event will be open to the public. We are currently seeking donations of good-quality, clean, high-fashion garments, and in early January, we will publish a list of collection points in the local area. This project is supported by Clare County Council.
