TY Students Visit Derg Isle

Last week, we  the  new TY’s enjoyed a fun and adventurous time at Derg Isle. Thankfully the weather was nice on both days which made the trip more enjoyable. On the first day we got split into three different groups and each group got to try out different activities such as the obstacle course, rock climbing, kayaking and paddle boarding. The obstacle course was very tiring but fun and helped us bond together better as a year group. The rock climbing wall was challenging but was definitely worth the climb for the view. For the water activities we got to choose between kayaking and paddle boarding, both were great fun and it was nice to be out in the cool water during the hot day. Sadly we didn’t get to stay overnight at Derg Isle because of the current Covid 19 restrictions however  we still had a fantastic two days. On the second day we got go kayaking and complete the obstacle course again but we also tried a few new activities  such as archery. The archery was  so enjoyable and extremely rewarding particularly each time you hit the target. During the last hours we all  got to compete in a massive obstacle race. We all had such a fun time doing these activities and enjoyed it a lot. It was a super start to TY 2020
