Fifth year students have the option of doing an additional online Career Assessment, called RightCareers4Me. It assesses their Values, Interests, Personality, Skills and Aptitudes and connects student’s top 5 career areas to a comprehensive list of suitable 3rd level courses. It enables students to filter their CAO courses for next year. Unfortunately, it doesn’t recommend Apprenticeships or PLC courses. Our Second Year Parent-Teacher meeting is scheduled for Thursday 19th January 2023. This will be an ‘in-person’ meeting but with the option of online attendance available if preferred and once arranged in advance.
Whether attending in-person or online, Parents/Guardians of Second Year students must register in advance by logging on to the PTMO system (Parent Teacher Meeting Organiser) PTMO. This portal will close at 2pm on Tuesday 17/01

Huge congratulations to sixth year student, Emily Chen, who yesterday, was presented with the very first Edna O’Brien Award for Writing in Scariff Community College. The gathered audience of students and writers listened in awe as Emily read her palindrome poem, “They Say”, one way and fellow student Femke Nijs read it in the opposite direction.
