Tonight marks the beginning of the u15 Clare Post Primary Schools Hurling Competition. Best of luck to our students.

Diarmuid Lyng visits Scariff Community College

Diarmuid Lyng came to meet our fifth year students on September 17th. He spoke about his own experiences as a young hurler in Wexford and his journey into adulthood. The discussion focused on personal identity and the importance of discovering more about yourself and what you like to do. In the second half of the session Diarmuid guided the groups through a relaxation meditation.

3G Astro Turf Facility for SCC – Fundraising Drive

We, at Scariff Community College, are really excited to share our plan for the development of a 3G Astroturf Sports Facility here on our school grounds.
We know that this flood-lit & all-weather facility which will be useable all year round, will prove to be of huge benefit and value, not only to us as a school community, but also, to people of all ages in our local communities across East Clare.

Second Year Students -180 km Virtual East Clare Way

March 1 saw the beginning of a new challenge for 2nd year students who will walk  a Virtual East Clare Way (180 km) between March 1 and April 12 . We will walk the distance within our own 5 km limit adhering to all Covid 19 guidelines.  Through this wellbeing initiative we are also hoping to raise funds and awareness of the ICCR Irish Community Rapid Response . In 2020 the Air Ambulance was tasked to Co. Clare 40 times – to areas including Tulla Broadford and Ennis . All funds raised here will go directly to this great cause. …
