School calendar: Students will return on a phased basis – calendar available at Calendar 2022/23 – Scariff Community College Our incoming first years will be the first student cohort to return and will start on Monday 29th August with an induction session (not full day) – see calendar.
School Uniform: All students are expected to present in full school uniform. We respectfully ask for parental support in ensuring same.

Updated Covid-19 measures from Monday 28 February 2022

Parents/guardians, staff and students are advised that the Government has accepted the recommendations of NPHET. Therefore, as staff and students return to school after the midterm break on Monday, 28 February 2022, social distancing measures and face-masks will no longer be required in school settings.
However, the risk to health, remains very much a reality, and the importance of all staying well and minimising disruption to schooling for the remainder of term, remains a priority.
So, all in our school community are asked to continue to do what can be done to keep our school safe.

Parents/Guardians – Hard copies of your appointment schedules for the upcoming 2nd year parent-teacher meeting which takes place this Thursday 17th Feb. 2022 have been distributed to students today (posted where students are absent).

Leaving Certificate 2022 – CSSP (Candidate Self-service portal)

Sixth year students must register on the 2022 Leaving Certificate Candidate Self Service Portal (CSSP). This online portal will be used by candidates to confirm their examination entry details and access other services in the coming months such as LC results and appeals.
The portal is open from 12 noon on Thursday 3 February for candidates to confirm their subject entries and levels. Minister Foley confirms arrangements for State Examinations 2022

Following a government decision today, Minister for Education Norma Foley TD has announced extensive changes to the state examinations for 2022.
To take into account the disruption to teaching and learning experienced by the Leaving Certificate class of 2022, extensive changes will be made to the written Leaving Certificate 2022 examinations. In addition, the Minister has announced that the overall set of results in 2022 will be no lower than in 2021, ensuring that the class of 2022 will not be disadvantaged.
