This programme will be rolled out to all our Senior Cycle students in the coming weeks – with workshops for 5th years & for 6th years planned for before Christmas; and for TY students in Spring 2022. U15 Hurling SCC v St Anne’s Killaloe Match Report

This evening we were in Dr Daly Memorial Park Tulla under lights on a cold, dry evening for the 1st round of the PPS U15 Hurling Competition.
Scariff Community College had a definitive defeat over St Annes Killaloe. Scariff started off the game with an excellent score of 1:6-0:0 at the first water break.
Liam Heffernan started off the match with a super goal followed by scores from: Paul Rodgers (0:2), Oisin Madden (0:1), Sean Óg Kilkenny (0:1), Jack Madden (0:1), Eoin Nugent (0:1).
In the second quarter there were scores from: Dylan Joyce (0:1), Paul Rodgers (0:2), Jake Gibbons (0:1), Oisin Madden (0:1).

Diarmuid Lyng visits Scariff Community College

Diarmuid Lyng came to meet our fifth year students on September 17th. He spoke about his own experiences as a young hurler in Wexford and his journey into adulthood. The discussion focused on personal identity and the importance of discovering more about yourself and what you like to do. In the second half of the session Diarmuid guided the groups through a relaxation meditation.

3G Astro Turf Facility for SCC – Fundraising Drive

We, at Scariff Community College, are really excited to share our plan for the development of a 3G Astroturf Sports Facility here on our school grounds.
We know that this flood-lit & all-weather facility which will be useable all year round, will prove to be of huge benefit and value, not only to us as a school community, but also, to people of all ages in our local communities across East Clare.
